Each county has its own water. Maricopa runs on a Salt River Project and Central Arizona Project blend. Pinal is groundwater plus growing CAP deliveries. Yavapai is a mix of aquifer-fed municipalities and a large private-well population.
Maricopa County
Maricopa County is the core Phoenix metro. Homes here are on a Salt River Project and Central Arizona Project blend that arrives at the meter chlorinated, chloraminated, and among the hardest municipal water in the country. This is where the whole-home carbon plus softener plus RO stack does its heaviest work.
Pinal County
Pinal County is a mix of groundwater-fed municipal utilities and private wells. Casa Grande and Coolidge run on Arizona Water Company; Maricopa city and Queen Creek are on municipal departments. Naturally occurring arsenic in the aquifer and agricultural-legacy nitrate are the two issues that show up most on the test panel here.
Yavapai County
Yavapai County is where our treatment reality shifts. Municipal supplies in Prescott and the Verde Valley are typically cleaner than the Phoenix metro blend, but the county has a much higher share of private wells, especially in Chino Valley and outside Sedona. Iron, sulfur, and bacteriological concerns drive the equipment train here, not chloramine.
